Master of Science in Medical Informatics
Northwestern University's Master of Science in Medical Informatics Program offered online was perfect for a working mother like me, because it allowed me to attend the classes in the convenience of my own home. Beginning students are divided into two tracks: Clinical or Technical. Those with clinical background are required to take CIS 313 Networking and Telecommunications and CIS 317 Database Management Systems, while those with technical background take MMI 401 American Healthcare System and MMI 402 Introduction to Clinical Thinking. Students with neither technical or clinical background are required to take all four courses.
